Caits have a small health pool, but as a compensation for their low HP, their high defense makes dealing more than a single point of damage per attack difficult. Boosted attacks are thus excellent at dealing significant damage to Caits. Medium soulstones, which will never miss, are also guaranteed to defeat them.
Their defense combined with their high evasion and tendency to flee early in combat makes them a challenging but rewarding foe to defeat.
Luck of the Cait Edit
Caits can be captured by H'annit. When summoned, instead of attacking they use a skill called Luck of the Cait. This functions in a similar way to the Dancer skill Bewildering Grace. It has a number of sub moves.
|Offence/Defence Cross||Boosts all your party's Attack, Defence, Elemental Attack and Elemental Defence|
|Heterogenus Cross||Boosts all your party's Evasion, Accuracy, Speed and Critical|
|Offence/Defence Break||Lowers all enemies Attack, Defence, Elemental Attack and Elemental Defence|
|Heterogenus Break||Lowers all enemies Evasion, Accuracy, Speed and Critical|
Boost summoning a Cait will have 2 effects. First, it will improve the duration of the original effect, ranging from 2 turns with no boost to 5 turns with max boost. Secondly, the Cait will trigger multiple sub moves when boost summoned, ranging from 1 with no boost to 4 with max boost. If it triggers the same one multiple times, the duration will stack for a maximum of 9 turns.
